We will traverse the terrain of San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park in Alachua Florida, which is situated just outside of Gainesville. We will ride at the appropriate speed for your horseback riding skill level and explore one of the few remaining mature forests in Florida that boasts one of the finest examples of the climax mesic hammocks.. Meet Your Guide
Hi my name is Jannette I simply love horses and people. I have been blessed since May 2021 to work with Appalachian Horse Adventures leading private group trail rides on the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in Montebello Virginia. Starting November 1 to March 31, 2023, the Lord is giving me the opportunity to bring my passion to Florida, my home state, doing private group trail rides during the winter months. I am beyond blessed to be doing what I love, loving life and changing lives. I will gladly share my love for horses with anyone who will listen. Come experience the diversity and beauty of North Central Florida with me on a horse riding adventure.
I have been professionally horseback riding, trail riding and horse camping for over 20 years. During that time, I studied Parelli Natural Horsemanships equine behavior and have directed children’s summer camp horsemanship programs at Camp Kulaqua in High Springs Florida. Connecting both new and experienced riders with horses and God's nature is my passion and I look forward to riding with you.

Sweet Apache is a 10 year old Tennessee Walking Horse Gelding that will steal your heart from the minute you meet him. He is easy going and loves trail riding.

Roxie is a 12 year old Rocky Mountain Horse mare. She is very gentle and loves to move out on the trail. There is nothing Roxy is not willing to do.

Beautiful 11 year old Tennessee Walking Horse gelding, 16.2, big boy. Has a lot of personality and loves to be on the trails and seeing all the activity all around.
Important Information
Requirements
- Minimum age for Cellon Creek and Shady Woods is 6 years old.
- Minimum age for Pinewoods Trail and Hidden Pond Trail is 10 years old.
- Maximum weight limit of 250 pounds.
- Mandatory, for your safety - We require all riders wear completely enclosed shoes/boots; no sandals, flip flops, etc. (no refunds if you show in the wrong shoes and must be sent away)
- Long pants are recommended.
- For safety, we require all riders to wear a riding helmet, provided by us.
Single riders welcome
You can book through our site as a single rider, it will be your private ride. There is a single rider button which will charge 1.5 the regular ride rate for a single rider. We welcome single riders always.
**Rainy Day Cancellation:**
I plan to go horseback riding rain or shine. In the event I cancel a ride due to conditions I feel are unsafe for my horses and guests, the ride will be rescheduled, or a refund will be issued. Please be aware that a cancellation notice may be made the morning of your ride.
**No Shows:**
No refund will be issued. This includes missing your ride due to being late and we were unable to hold the ride for you or missing your ride because you went to the incorrect location.
**Rescheduling/Cancellation:**
All requests to reschedule or cancel must be made at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled ride time. I will do my best to meet your request to reschedule.
